Relax as we pick you up from your hotel and give you a small group 5-hour guided tour of Bratislava.We will drive to the center of the city for a walking tour of the beautifully preserved old town. You will walk through the 13th century Michalska Gate and visit the beautiful Main Square.
We will then explore the Gothic Cathedral of St. Martin which houses the relic of Saint John the Merciful dating from the 7th century.
Discover the 15th century Town Hall which is still in use today, before heading to the exquisite neo-classical Primate Palace.Our journey continues by mini-bus as we pass the Presidential Palace and the Bratislavan Castle, perched atop a cliff that overlooks the city and the Danube River.After you will see where the Slovak Government resides we will visit the Slavin Monument. Dedicated to the Soviet soldiers who liberated Bratislava in 1945, this is an impressive memorial that also gives great views of the city.Finally we will visit Devin Castle located on the border of Austria and Slovakia and situated at the meeting point of two rivers. This historic castle is largely in ruins now after Napoleon ordered its destruction in 1809, but it still rewards those who visit.Considered a national icon, Devin Castle has seen the rise and fall of several empires and can trace its beginnings to the 8th century.We will drop you off at your hotel or the city center to end the day.
